This is probably my most successful year hunting for orchids. I've certainly visited more sites than ever before; some repeat visits but many new sites. Some more or less local to me, but three great sites in Kent also.

New sightings for 2013:
       Frog Orchid
       Man Orchid
       Late spider Orchid
       Lizard Orchid
       Birds Nest Orchid
       Dark Red Helleborine
       Violet Helleborine
       Autumn Lady's Tresses
       and possible Leopard Spotted Orchid
And in total I have recorded 29 species, variations and hybrids this year; probably another record.

Of course this makes 2014 more of a challenge. Less to find, and further to go. But there will always be something to find, and I am already starting to make plans for 2014.
