Cheesemongers

The 10th Foot Regiment of the Borogravian Army is also known as the “Ins and Outs” or “The Cheesemongers”. The latter refers to an old story, preserved in a folk song, about an infantryman who beguiles a young maiden on her way to market, only to make off with her cheese. This is marked in their cap badge which features a flaming cheese. The stamp itself is a military post issue.
