The one further rarity is the 3p overprint. This was first noticed on a single archive proof sheet. A thin red ellipse, 8x11mm, has a black 3p within it and is centred on the stamp. Subsequently a very few more may have appeared in LBEs. It is reasonable to assume that this was an idea for the Thrup’ny stamp, but was abandoned. This explanation suggests that at the time the Thrup’ny stamp was not fully planned during the lifetime of the Zombie.
The image here is a bit of a mystery to me. I can’t remember its source though it may have been shared on the Emporium forum. While the stamp and overprint match another image, the attached selvedge seems anomalous. The early stamp sheets such as the Assassins Guild Threepence lack selvedge decoration apart from some text. So it is likely that the Zombie sheets had none either. However a proof sheet did have the AMPO building image above a stamp image. But this would not be perforated. Is this genuine, a fake, or an artist’s impression?
