The Sto Lat stamps from the Year of the Pensive Hare provide an interesting little study. The sheets of the Two Pence and Five Pence stamps comprised two panels of 25 stamps, one for each value, with a central gutter. Queen Kelirehanna’s bust has been redrawn, and the stamps show the hill town in closer detail than previous stamps. The design does show similarities to a Queen Victoria stamp from the Cape of Good Hope, but this is probably only coincidence.
Not only do these sheets seem to have had reprints on different papers resulting in shade variations, but a 25p value was the first Discworld stamp to have advertising by means of an underprint. Has anybody spotted the cat on these stamps. It is there I can assure you
