Rhys Rhysson was a dwarf from Llamedos, so unimportant that no-one could find a reason not to elect him King of the Dwarfs. He therefore took his seat in the underground dwarf Kingdom of Schmaltzberg. Dwarfs are not likely to make their sex public and when fuly dressed in leather and armour there is no way that anyone could tell the difference between a male and female dwarf. Rhys, hints at something to Cherry Longbottom of The Watch, admiring her for her metropolitan femininity during the Fifth Element. However it is not until Raising Steam that Rhys declares that she is in fact female and wishes to be known a Queen Blodwen and that her real name was Blodwen Rhysdottir.

A diamond shaped stamp was issued to mark her coming out, with the sport showing her wearing a bit of slap.

However this is not her first appearance on a stamp. The 60 Bz value of the second Uberwald issue features her as Rhys, but as Blodwen on the sport
