Sir Terry Pratchett

2009 was a notable year for Terry Pratchett. After 19th February he would be Sir Terry Pratchett no less. But not only that, but it marked 40 years of writing novels (the first being Carpet People), 25 years of Discworld novels, and also his 60th Birthday.
Colin and Alan, fans of Sir Terry`s work, had made a name for themselves in Cinderella stamps circles with their four years work on much of the original Discworld stamps. They decided to commemorate these events with a miniature sheet of three stamps. The first shows a young man as he was at the launch of Carpet People, the second depicts A`tuin, the cosmic turtle carrying the Discworld on its back, and the last a more contemporary picture with the well-known black hat.

The sheet lists all Sir Terry`s books and novels up to 2009 in silver print, and was accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Colin and Alan, dated 18th February 2009, and stamped with silver.
A mounted example of the sheet was presented to Sir Terry on his big day; and for each sheet sold a donation was made to
www.alzheimers.org.uk a charity which means much to both Alan and Terry
