The Chevache

A 2d stamps from what is more officially known as The International Guild of Farm Scientists and Commerce, to commemorate The Chevasse, Winner of Five Gold Stars for breeding endeveavour. The stamps are accompanied by a postcard from the Cocorocorucas Islands which allegedly lie somewhere in the South Seas of the Pacific. There are other different postcards to collect, each with a stamp pre-cancelled for internal post use only.

Anybody familiar with the big food news from February 2013 will know that the Chevasse has become a very popular choice of meat.

A year passes and we have a follow-up stamp. The Boueffon or Pantomime Chevache. Note the feet, the seam up the middle, and the tied on falsie udders.
