In September 2014 collectors were surprised to find some advertising-style labels on their post from Norfolk. A dozen of different ones have been found, all imperforate, and for different products all with the brand name Black Cat. Inspired by an old Fench advert for Black Cat cigarettes, Colin was actually experimenting with printing, trying to ensure clear fine coloured text against a black background; and we may as well have some examples on our post. I have decided not to freak you out with the other Ugly Cat. That one is a real horror! These first appeared imperforate, a second print was perforated, and a third was perforated with a coloured background. What next?
