Aniger is the Discworld Goddess of Squashed Animals. According to Mrs Bradshaw there is a small shrine to Aniger in the village of Little Swelling on the Sto Plains. Because of Aniger`s increasing popularity caused by more, larger, and faster carts on the roads a small tourist industry has grown there. The stamp therefore is ideal for postcards home.

The Aniger Three Pence stamp shows her holding a dead cat in a formal religious inspired design. It is the second ecumenical stamp issued in the Year of the Second Inception, and like that of the Blind Io stamp, it was produced for the Council of the Churches, Temples, Sacred Groves and Big Ominous Rocks. They were printed in sheets of 20, and introduced to Roundworld in the Vicars and Tarts LBE. The sheet Sport is perhaps the first and likely to be the only stamp to feature a decapitated cat!
