Printings

There are therefore two print runs of the Wahoonie stamps. The first had sheets of 48 Smoking types and 1 Smokeless. The second run would have had a similar number of sheets which were all Smokeless. Then it is likely more Smoking stamps were required for the swap scheme - just one sheet perhaps.

But looking at complete sheets of Smoking originals and Smokeless reprints the latter are in much more vibrant colours. The colour intensity of the printing seems to have been racked up a notch or two in order to make the stamps look less anaemic. So it is possible that there are wishy-washy and colourful variations of both stamps out there. The more common will be a pale Smoking and the more colourful Smokeless. Check your collections!
