Here I will provide some brief round-ups of my site visits and chance findings. They are provided essentially reverse date order - most recent at the top. While many of the sites I have visited are common knowledge and well publicised, I shall be deliberately vague in some of the descriptions. Basically I do not want to be criticised for revealing too much information about orchid sites.

However I will try to present some kind of description of the habitat in which the orchids are growing. The earlier entries are written retrospectively and for this I make no apologies. This is not a blog or diary. It is a record of my field trips and will, if nothing else, act as record for my own purposes. I do like to keep records of all my observations, and this seems as good a method as any other. There seems no reason not to share it with others.
