For 2021 the Isle of Vue delved back int Laernuan folklore, specifically he love story of Myrtilla, a faerie queen, and Nathaniel, a shepherd. She lusted at his young, athletic body, but he was more interested in the welfare of his flock. To attract his interest she transformed him into one of the baabaaen, She broke the spell on St Valentine’s Day, and they had a grand time while he recited the love poems he had time to compose whist in his fleecy form. The issue comprised two stamps and their sheets, each with a standard variant, two artwork proof sheets. two covers, and a whole host of variants. Six named baabaaen photo-bombed the shepherds hut stamp, while other variants were in bonus envelopes. Rounding off there is a Valentine’s card and a sheaf of briefing notes.
