The Triangular

This year`s Valentine`s issue was a single 1F stamp, triangular in shape, featuring a cherub in a floral bower. Imperforate examples exist, and one (illustrated) has a small star perfin. Were there other perfinned stamps issued? A big bold 1402, as seen on a Laernu Dragons pairing, would seem appropriate.

Covers with all three Isle of Vue stamps from 2006-2008 were available to collectors.

The stamps were printed in sheets of 12 tete-beche in a diamond shaped block. There is a subtle variation lurking on one stamp on the sheet. And there is a pale print variation to look for too.

What to look for in the issue?

  • Imperforate stamps
  • Other perfinned examples
  • Possibility of variant stamps
