Unhealthy and Unsafety Regulations Governing the Lifting and Moving of Large Objects

Something is happening in Discworld and the Unseen University recognises this and rules out a haunting or similar. After ringing Old Tom (silently of course) to no avail the senior wizards decide to perform the Rite of Ashkente to summon Death. He informs them that Rincewind is trying to escape the Dungeon Dimensions or wherever he was dispatched to after the events of Sourcery

Rincewind awakes to find himself in a bizarre room. He has been mistaken for a demon by demon hacker Eric Thursley, 13 years old, and resident of Pseudopolis. Chief of the demons, Ashfgl, is annoyed as he was hoping a real demon would have made it through to Discworld. Eric explains to Rincewind that he has three simple wishes; mastery of kingdoms, meet the most beautiful woman in the world, and to live forever.
Inadvertently Rincewind finds that he has the power to do this at the snap of his fingers. He, Eric, the Luggage and Eric`s pet parrot are transported into a tropical jungle, They are in the land of the Tezumen who worship the god Quezovercoatl, and a taken to a town by chariots drawn by llamas. He, Eric, the Luggage and Eric’s pet parrot are transported into a tropical jungle, They are in the land of the Tezumen who worship the god Quezovercoatl, and a taken to a town by chariots drawn by llamas. It seems that the Tezuman have a prophecy about the return of Quezovercoatl and Eric`s wish sort of fulfills it. They are given a banquet. Rincewind slips off to look at their pyramid and finds unmentionable carvings of what they did to their enemies. Inside he finds a prisoner and explorer called Ponce da Quirm who explains the carvings show what they do to sacrifices, and that the ultimate sacrifice would be Quezovercoatl,Meanwhile Ashfgl has summoned the real Quezovercoatl, who is in reality a small imp. He is ordered to apologise to the Tezuman people, but as he appears the Luggage arrives and squashes him. Eric and Wincewind escape by a snap of the fingers, but not before handing over the parrot to Ponce to help him on his quest for the Fountain of Youth. Snap!

They find themselves in ancient Tsort during the Tsortian wars. Tsort and Ephebe have been at war for years over Eleanor, the most beautiful woman in the world; so long that neither knows who was actually wronged, Eric and Rincewind are inside a wooden horse being taken into the city. The Luggage, following Rincewind`s adventure, enters by bashing down the gates. The Ephebians outside witness the Tsortian military rushing out and just march in. Their commander, Laevolus, is a tad unhappy because the Wooden Horse was a decoy to occupy Tsort while they crept in by the back door. Eric and Rincewind meet Eleanor, but she is rather plump, surrounded by a bevy of kids, and has a bit of a moustache. The siege has just been going on too many years. The Ephebians begin to burn down Tsort so our heroes escape. Snap!

They appear nowhere - literally. If you are going to live forever you have to start at the beginning, when time itself starts. They witness the creation of Discworld and meet the creator; or a creator as he insists. As Rincewind is present when the Creator reads the Octavo to create the universe it may explain why one of the Octavo`s spells chooses to jump into Rincewind`s mind when it sees him: it recognizes him from the time of creation. To escape Eric has to perform his rite in reverse and they appear in hell. Ashfgl has created a massive bureaucracy there as that is the ultimate hell. Lord Vassenego has plans to replace Ashfgl. He pronounces him Supreme President for Life, ensuring Ashfgl is tied up in his own red tape. Eric, Rincewind and the Luggage are released to their own time and place (Midden lane in Pseudopolis yo be precise) so they can spread the word about Hell
